Kids’ Chance Awareness Week runs from November 9th to the 13th. This special event was started in 2014 to provide a national platform to increase visibility for the Kids’ Chance mission. This week allows Kids’ Chance and its partners, like Coventry, to highlight and raise awareness of this ever-growing organization that provides educational opportunities and scholarships for children affected by workplace injuries.
Coventry is a proud supporter of Kids’ Chance of America and actively participates with many of the organization’s state chapters. About 18 months ago we created a first of its kind Catastrophic Care Referral Program designed to refer affected parties directly to Kids’ Chance. The program provides a monthly report that flags eligible cases where the injured worker is gravely injured or killed in the course of a work-related accident.
Our Case Managers are prompted to contact the adjuster, the injured worker, or a responsible family member to refer them to Kids’ Chance. In the past seven months we have already identified over 700 potential referrals.
You can learn more about the Faces of Kids’ Chance on their website and get to know the students and future leaders who have benefited from this program. #MoreMoneyforMoreKids
